Smadar Boim | I live in Kfar Maimon, near Netivot. I love to hike and hang out with good friends, and am a counselor in the Bnei Akiva youth movement. This year I also started volunteering in an agricultural research institute. On ITTA I learned so much about responsibility through sharing daily the carrying of gear with the girls in my group. What I loved about Derech Hateva was meeting new people from completely different backrounds. As an active member in Bnei Akiva, Smadar is imparting the values she learned and the environmental awareness she gained on the program within her local community.
|
Reut Katzin | I grew up in Kfar Maimon, on the outskirts of Netivot, a development town in the south of Israel. I am a counselor in Bnei Akiva and I love to read. One of the things I loved on ITTA was the challenge of hiking and climbng mountains. In addition to the hiking, I also enjoyed the challenge of making Shabbat outdoors and meeting many people from diverse backgrounds. As an active member in Bnei Akiva, Reut is imparting the values she learned and the environmental awareness she gained on the program within her local community.

Misha Milman
|
I was born in the Ukraine and before making aliyah in 2002 I also lived in Russia. I used to live in Migdal HaEmek with a host family when I first moved to Israel and began to learn Hebrew. Two years ago I had the opportunity to move and study at the Yemin Orde Youth Village & high school and so far it has been fabulous. I am a pretty fit guy and like to work out. My favorite sport is biking but I enjoy any challenging activity. My sense of adventure is very strong and I welcome new experiences. My Derech Hateva summer was incredible for those very reasons.
For his Kehillat Natan project, Misha, together with the other Kehillat Natan fellows at Yemin Orde, is working to build cohesiveness between Ethiopian, Russian and Israeli students in the youth village, using environmental themes.

Molla Beze
| I came to Israel from Ethiopia on aliya in 2001 and lived in Gedera before coming to study and live in Yemin Orde in 2006. I love to play social team games because they unify people across divides. One of the most meaningful experiences on ITTA was being "leader of the day" because I learned many things and realized my abilities and strengths.
For his Kehillat Natan project, Molla, together with the other Kehillat Natan fellows at Yemin Orde, is working to build cohesiveness between Ethiopian, Russian and Israeli students in the youth village, using environmental themes.

Mantamar Biyaka
| I grew up in Ethiopia and then made aliyah in 2005 with my family of 3 brothers and 2 sisters. We began our life in Israel in an absorption center in Ashkelon and then moved to Petach Tikva. Now I am in my third year at Yemin Orde (YO) and love it. I had a great time on ITTA and made new friends from different places and was able to really connect with them.
For her Kehillat Natan project, Mantamar, together with the other Kehillat Natan fellows at Yemin Orde, is working to build cohesiveness between Ethiopian, Russian and Israeli students in the youth village, using environmental themes.

Ofra Boim
| I am from Kfar Maimon, in the south of Israel, near Netivot. I like to read, hike and exercise sometimes and play on the computer. I now know the land of Israel much better after the summer's hike and made incredible friends that I keep in touch with.
*Ofra is a fellow from 08-09. Due to the security situation in the south during the 08-09 academic year, her project was extended to the current academic year.
Mor Saada | I was born in Israel and have lived my entire life in Ma'agalim, a small town in the south of Israel near the Gaza Strip. I enjoy reading books and playing on the computer. My favorite experience from this summer's hike was the desert component. I love learning about camels and walking with them. *Mor is a fellow from 08-09. Due to the security situation in the south during the 08-09 academic year, her project was extended to the current academic year.
